Criteria for Proper Crimping

  • Meet the specified crimp height.
  • Include a Bell-mouth (no crimping on conductor).
  • Conductor tip protrudes 0.5mm or less from the Conductor Barrel.
  • All conductor strands are within the Conductor Barrel.
  • Wire insulator is NOT crimped into the Conductor Barrel.
  • No cracks or burrs in the crimping area.

Contact Withdrawal Notes

  • Visual inspection for damage, deformation, or discoloration.
  • Use a designated Withdrawing Tool (e.g., JAE's ET-MX19).
  • Insert tool into the tool cavity, not the contact cavity.
  • Release contact locking by meeting the molding lance with the tool.
  • Withdraw wire on a straight axis; avoid snagging on grommets.
  • Maximum withdrawal frequency per cavity is 3 times; replace if damaged.
  • Do not apply unnecessary force.
